Shredding!

This morning while I was driving to work it was pouring, and I was convinced that Mother Nature was crying because summer is over.  My little man returns to preschool next week.  I am one sad mama.

I knew once I heard the weather that the rain was going to put a damper on my walking plans, not only tonight, but for most of the week.  SUCK.  I do know, however, that I committed to three days of exercise a week, and come hell or high water, I'm doing it (is that how that expression goes?  I really can't remember!)

So I dusted off the legend, Miss Jillian Michaels, for a little 30 Day Shred action...


I bought this DVD eons ago.  Probably shortly after it first came out.  And while I've gone a week or so with it, I've never stuck with the full 30 days EVER. 

And of course, now the challenge is right back in my face, and I'm so, so, so tempted!  Should I go for it?

I have events tomorrow night and Thursday night, which will mean a very cruel wakeup call at 5:30am or so if I want to workout.  But I've gotta.  Don't I?  I mean, my blog readers will hold me to it, right?  

In other news, I GOT RIGHT BACK ON TRACK TODAY.  Holy shit, that is like, earth shattering info, since that has never happened in the history of Emily, to eat badly on the weekend and get right back on the healthy train.  Wow.  Did you realize you would witness history in the making today?  

I hope hope hope that I can blog tomorrow, even if it's for a second.  Tomorrow I'm doing lunch with my dear friend Meg who I haven't seen in over a year (HOW THE HELL DID THAT HAPPEN?) and will be eating dinner out too so a challenge lies ahead!  Go and visit my friend Meg and her cooking adventures at Uncooked, her new blog!
